Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects has finalised its shortlist for the 2025 New Zealand Structure Awards. The finalists embrace 61 initiatives throughout 12 classes.
Every year the New Zealand Structure Awards recognise the highest initiatives from throughout the motu, with the shortlist and supreme winners chosen from initiatives which have received a Native Structure Award of their area in the course of the previous three years.
All shortlisted initiatives might be visited by the jury, headed by Craig Moller, Director of Moller Architects, and together with Beth Cameron from Makers of Structure, Nicola Herbst of Herbst Architects, and Ilana Freadman from Freadman White Architects in Melbourne, Australia. The tour begins 11 August.
“We have been actually happy with the varied vary of initiatives that made the shortlist this yr,” says Nationwide Jury Convenor Craig Moller from Moller Architects. “It was particularly heartening to see such power within the Heritage and Small Undertaking Structure classes. Architects make an enormous distinction within the end result of any venture, however particularly for small initiatives with dimension and scale constraints, their creativity and impression have been on full show.”
The winners of the New Zealand Structure Awards might be introduced on the annual award occasion on 20 November in Ōtautahi Christchurch at Te Pae Christchurch Conference Centre.
