The Australian Institute of Architects’ Western Australia chapter has celebrated the recipients of the state’s suite of prizes and fellowships of their 2025 President’s Dinner, held on 26 November on the College Membership of WA. The occasion honoured previous presidents and new fellows of the Institute, in addition to the winners of state prizes.

The chapter’s highest honour, the 2025 WA President’s Prize, was introduced by chapter president Ross Donaldson to architectural follow Officer Woods, “for his or her unwavering dedication to addressing probably the most prescient challenges: local weather change; housing supply and its affordability; fairness and inclusion, and, particularly, First Nations inclusion.”

“Their follow has proven management throughout all these frontiers and this management has been recognised nationally,” a media communique notes.

Officer Woods has been awarded greater than 30 awards and prizes for his or her tasks, together with the East Pilbara Arts Centre, Spinifex Hill Mission Area, and Boola Katitjin at Murdoch College with Lyons et al.
