The demountable metallic mould that shapes willow bushes right into a self-supporting bench was created by Belgian design agency Studio Half.
Readers had been captivated by the design, with one calling it “modern and sustainable”. One other praised the “lovely idea”, noting that it “promotes deeper interrelation with the constructed and pure world”.

Different tales on this week’s e-newsletter that fired up the feedback part included the invention of a letter in a false column of the Nationwide Gallery’s Sainsbury Wing, a home in Toronto that includes offset home windows and diamond-panel cladding and Foster + Companions design for a supertall skyscraper in Miami.
