MSCHF reveals the “bloodied foam innards” of Gufram Pratone chair

Artwork collective MSCHF has sliced off the ideas of Italian furnishings firm Gufram’s fashionable Pratone chair to spotlight the “revolutionary” roots of latest design objects for a New York exhibition.

Held at Perrotin gallery within the Decrease East Aspect, the For Trade Crops exhibition was launched to create a dialogue between Gufram’s participation in Italy’s Nineteen Sixties Radical Design motion and up to date consumerism in artwork markets.

MSCHF collaborated with Gufram on two “interventions” on the model’s Pratone chair and the Cactus coatrack, which had been displayed alongside three new items and former creations from the artwork collective.
