When Phoebe and Paul Sprinz first laid eyes on this Edwardian semidetached home in London’s Ealing neighborhood, it didn’t matter to them that it hadn’t been lived in for a number of years, with an overgrown yard, musty wall-to-wall carpeting, and decades-old wallpaper. The couple, a director of an HR company and a director slash producer at Stripe Media, preferred that it had good bones, beneficiant proportions, a big hallway, and a west-facing backyard. Its location was yet one more constructive; Phoebe, Paul, and their two teenage children already lived within the neighborhood, and wished to remain within the space due to its proximity to transportation.
