37 tasks have been shortlisted within the 2026 Canterbury Structure Awards. The shortlisted tasks have been chosen from entries within the awards programme of the Canterbury Department of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects.
The shortlist was compiled by a jury led by Mike Callaghan of Johnstone Callaghan Architects and rounded out by Julia Mercer (Elbow Architects), Daniel Smith (Edwards White Architects) and lay juror Annabel Cropper (Annabel Cropper Design).
The winners will probably be introduced on Thursday 4 June.
