From the Architect: “Situated in a village in Penafiel, Portugal, Casa da Levada blends into its rural panorama. The form of the home is molded by the terrain, creating a visible and bodily continuity between the constructing and the pure surroundings.
“The trail to the home seems as a paved groove over the inexperienced floor of the land. A tectonic fault separates the volumes devoted to social areas and personal areas, resulting in the central courtyard.
