Designs revealed for arts hub within Adelaide CBD Tapangka precinct

The South Australian authorities has introduced plans for a brand new arts and media hub set throughout the upcoming Tapangka precinct being developed by Renewal SA.

Situated on the former Adelaide Bus Station website on Franklin Avenue, the precinct is deliberate to ship high-density housing alongside varied business, public and civic areas.

Within the south-eastern portion of the positioning, adjoining to Andrew Avenue, the humanities and media hub will accommodate the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) as a key tenant alongside the State Theatre Firm, State Opera and Nation Arts SA, which can all relocate from the broadcaster’s present Collinswood website.

Plans for the event embrace a set of galleries, studios and rehearsal areas. In response to a media launch from the SA authorities, this providing will “allow collaboration between arts organisations and the ABC” and “present a pipeline of South Australian expertise, manufacturing and programming.”

The cultural centre is due for completion by 2031.
