Draw the Tourists? -or- Leave Them Out? What is your view? More importantly, Why? For some the decision is practical and technical to the drawing, for others, it can approach the philosophical.

Like many architects, I really like to sit down and sketch buildings in situ when touring and have a query for others who do the identical. While you sit and draw a spot, like this one, that’s undoubtedly "on the crushed monitor":

Why do you draw the vacationers? or

Why do you edit the vacationers out of your sketch?

This sketch, for me, needed to be a 'element in' form of sketch so it took a while. In that point, siting within the shade subsequent one of many large columns, there was a continuous stream of tour teams that, within the warmth of the day, appeared virtually to emerge from one column and disappear behind the subsequent. Individuals within the drawing for scale…..yeah, however…..its greater than that.
