From the Architect: “Rodrigo Ohtake’s newest undertaking is a modular, ecological vacation residence for his household in Ibiúna, a rural city an hour and half removed from São Paulo. Ohtake’s household makes use of it to get away from metropolis life, to calm down after a busy week and for the kids to get involved with nature. The problem was to design a home that didn’t appear to be a prefabricated modular home, with out deviating from the unique modular idea. The primary motivation that led him to embark on this undertaking was the potential for offering high quality and reasonably priced housing.
“His design is constituted as an interplay between shapes, volumes, colours and the realm wherein these tasks are scaled, producing distinctive manifestations. These qualities could show their value every day, however when paired with a way of mass manufacturing and celerity, they have an inclination to place this relationship to the check. The offered answer consists of a number of prefabricated modules that act as a front room, eating room, and kitchen.
“Being made completely out of metallic elements, glass, and materials that may be simply transported, the home itself was prefabricated and assembled on-site. This minimized waste, preserving the realm’s natural world. Moreover, the undertaking is thermally environment friendly, maintaining the interiors at a cushty temperature and stopping the necessity of an air conditioner. The home was in-built simply 30 days.”
“Moreover, the style wherein the home is constructed, with the void between the modular areas, permits customization past simply the colours of the partitions or the side of the ground, in response to every consumer’s preferences and behaviors. For the outside partitions, this proprietor selected a thermo-insulated industrial wall coated with an aluminum panel. The curved blue exterior partitions are manufactured from perforated metal sheet. They’re meant to interrupt up the oblong format of the bed room modules, give privateness to the rooms. Many of the furnishings was made by Ohtake. His spouse, an artwork curator, chosen all of the art work in the home.”
