Yesterday, we shared the showstopper of a kitchen designed by Adam Robinson (of Bureau Tempo) and Thom Fougere (of Thom Fougere Studio). As we speak, we’re excited to present you a tour of the remainder of the beautiful trip house.
The home, a brand new construct by Gren Weiss Architect & Associates, is sited on Pine Island in Georgian Bay, Ontario, and accessible by boat solely. The world is understood for its exhausting, rugged magnificence—and in designing the interiors, the pair appeared to the pure components simply outdoors its entrance door for inspiration. Regionally sourced fieldstone and wooden are the leitmotifs that present up repeatedly.
“We needed to seize the sensation of the stone beneath foot when strolling barefoot on the island—one thing we had the pleasure of doing whereas touring the property earlier than the cottage was constructed. The intention right here is to reconnect with nature, not distance oneself from it,” they inform us.
Under, Adam and Thom stroll us by way of their venture, each an homage to the weather and a refuge from them.
