I dont know a lot about structure, I similar to the best way cool buildings look.
Im curious to know if there’s something holding again American structure that i’m not educated about.
In my head, im pondering that we dont have expertise holding us again from making buildings look cool, and giving life and id to a metropolis.
Is it funds? Does it price rather more to make buildings and skyscrapers look greater than concrete/glass bins?
For reference, the image is of Rockefeller Tower (1072 W Peachtree) in Atlanta.
I used to stroll by this building day-after-day when i lived close to it and was so excited as a result of I like skyscrapers, and it’s the first actual skyscraper being inbuilt my metropolis for the primary time since even earlier than I used to be born.
Now that I dont stay proper subsequent to it anymore I simply see it often from the highway, and Im kinda disillusioned as to why they went with such a fundamental (and admittedly a bit ugly) design, as a substitute of constructing one thing distinctive or particular, since its been so lengthy.
I dont know if its due to funds cuts, or if there’s an ulterior motive to this or one thing lol.
