Alex Chinneck references American streetscapes in surreal Dior window displays

Knotted clocks and twisted vehicles are amongst 14 sculptures that British artist Alex Chinneck has created for the home windows of Dior shops in New York and Los Angeles.

Chinneck was commissioned to develop a sequence of artworks for Home of Dior New York and Home of Dior Beverly Hills that reinterpret frequent fixtures of American streets in his signature surrealist fashion.

“Dior is ‘the Home of desires’ and this household of 14 sculptures embraces the surrealism and widened prospects of dreaming by weaving fantasy into acquainted objects from the streetscapes of every Home,” Chinneck defined.
