Finalists revealed for NSW Pattern Book Design Competition

Fifteen architectural consortia from throughout the globe have been chosen as finalists for the New South Wales Sample E book Design Competitors.

The competitors seeks to extend the availability of high quality and enhance the range of low- and mid-rise housing via designs that may simply be replicated. The endorsed designs shall be contained inside a sample e-book and can qualify for expedited growth approval.

The shortlisted skilled candidates embrace 12 structure groups from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, alongside three worldwide consortia: one from London, one from New Zealand, and one other that includes architects from Germany, Italy, India and Australia.

Finalists could have till mid-October 2024 to submit designs for stage two. The designs shall be assessed on liveability, buildability, replicability, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and their capability to deal with the wants of trade and native communities.
