Why It Works
First, it’s the lengthy upholstered banquette in wealthy velvet that performs off the sunshine, armless walnut chairs in traditional mid-century fashionable fashion.
Anchoring the room are two darkish parts: the desk in black wooden that’s modern and easy, and the black terrazzo ground left naked to point out off the bits of gold and rust embedded in it. The darkish ground makes the desk appear to drift.
Gold silk taffeta drapes puddle on the ground to melt the home windows. Shell pink partitions, outsized wall sconces and daring artwork make an enormous assertion. Lastly, the fabulous brass pendant seems like a crown over the desk.
