Maison Mystique in Khao Yai, Thailand, is a theatrical, 17-room boutique resort mixing European romanticism with lush Southeast Asian nature.
Inaugurated in 2025 and designed by Ketchanok as an art-inspired "hidden world," it options eclectic, cinematic structure reminescent of a European manor or a Wes Anderson movie with detailed, symmetrical interiors, hidden gardens, and comfortable, themed suites.
Located within the forested, mountainous area of Khao Yai, about a number of hours from Bangkok, the design mixes European romanticism, similar to French château influences, with dramatic, moody areas described as "an Ottoman dream" or a "hidden sanctuary".
The 17 rooms are divided into 4 distinct, curated ideas, designed to really feel like tales inside a "poem in structure" that includes vaulted ceilings, arched entrances, heat teak louvers, marble, and smooth stone terraces that mix into the encircling nature. The inside design evokes a "Grand Budapest Resort" or "Downton Abbey" really feel, prioritizing thriller, intimacy, and a romanticized, nostalgic vibe.
