A Love Letter to Artwork and Heritage

For Omar, this challenge was private. His mom, Susan Aqeel, all the time dreamed of a house crammed with artwork. Within the Nineteen Sixties, she lived in SoHo, mingling with artists like Louise Nevelson and Jamie Wyeth. Now retired, she divides her time between coasts and needed a metropolis escape. Elevating the Residence’s Architectural Potential

The house, situated in an 1854 Anglo-Italianate townhouse, featured ornate stone fireplaces and tall French door home windows. Nonetheless, its kitchen, hallway, and loo wanted a full renovation.

A serious transformation occurred when Omar’s crew eliminated 8-foot drop ceilings, revealing an extra three ft of house. This modification made the house really feel extra open and stuffed the rooms with pure gentle.

A Minimal But Expressive Palette

The house’s surfaces function Colour Atelier Bone lime wash and Farrow & Ball’s All White. These decisions create a smooth, inviting environment.
