Was not too long ago in Assisi and was astonished to see the buttresses on the Santa Chiara Basilica. I had by no means seen any prefer it. Is that this uncommon ? What's the benefit of getting the arched buttresses versus as full wall/buttress prefer it's the case on the proper facet of the constructing ? Any additional information can be a lot appreciated, wasn't capable of finding a lot. Thanks !
