Described as “profound” and “restrained” by the jury, the 2026 winner, Reality Telling at Wybalenna by Taylor and Hinds Architects with the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania, concerned a brand new ablutions constructing and a delicate transforming of a colonial homestead at a website on Flinders Island marked by the genocide, survival and enduring presence of the Palawa folks.
